January 22nd, 2025
Roger Willeford presiding, called the meeting to order with a ring of the bell at 9:30AM.
An Executive Board meeting occurred today.
32 members were in attendance today.
Kiwanians began the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of America, the National Anthem.
Invocation: Carl Cramer, mentioning snow and the children.
Raffle: Ryan Lewis, with help from Maury Frey, oversaw the ticket sales and drawing this week.
The weekly pot was $9 and the big (Joker) pot was $18.
Dave Figi drew a ticket from the bucket, ticket number 3058. Congratulations to the winner, Steve Skelly.
The deck of cards has 52/53 cards remaining. Steve drew the 9♣.
Roger Willeford thanks greeters Don Kellogg and Dick Fay, invocator Carl Cramer, rafflemaster Ryan Lewis (and Maury Frey) and server Glenn Disrude.
Roger Willeford announces Greg Turco brought a guest today, Jenny Turco.
Jokes: Steve Skelly had a good joke about St. Peter admitting people to heaven.
Dick Hay had a joke, and Roger Willford told one about being in the park where a frisbee kept getting bigger and bigger, “then it hit me.”
Committee Reports: John Janes announced the Truck on Ice clock is outside. Fully functional! The truck may be moved onto the lagoon around February 5th. Athletic Club table sale dates are open, and John would appreciate someone with a spot a certain day.
Gregg Dickinson introduced the day’s speaker, Claire Gray with Forward Janesville. Forward Janesville are a large organization that support multiple facets of city development, including city-wide events. They assist with voter information, and do not host or endorse any candidates.
Gregg thanked Claire for speaking and presented her with a Kiwanis Parker pen.
Roger Willeford adjourned the meeting with a ring of the bell at 10:50AM. Minutes by Ryan Lewis.
