General Meeting
Minutes
October 30th, 2024
The meeting was called to order with a ring of the bell.
An Executive Board meeting occurred today.
The Pledge of Allegiance lead, along with the singing of America, the National Anthem.
Invocation: Carl Cramer, mentioning the children.
Raffle: Hamish Martin oversaw the ticket sales and drawing this week.
The weekly pot was $18 and the big (Joker) pot was $459.
A ticket was drawn from the bucket, ticket number 2402.
Congratulations to the winner, Glenn Disrude.
The deck of cards has 22/53 cards remaining. Glenn drew the 8♦.
Maury Frey was celebrated for 25 years as a Kiwanis member.
Jim Hay was celebrated for being a Kiwanis member for 25 years.
Jokes: Ray Szczepaniak, “What do mermaids wash their clothes with? Tide.”
Happy Box: Glenn donated his raffle winnings to the Truck on Ice.
Jerry Langdok is happy because his grandson is headed to university.
Other Announcements: John Janes announced the Truck on Ice is on for the Jolly Jingle parade.
Tom Neumann announced a shirt order will be completed after 12 are made (five are listed).
Luci Cramer announced an upcoming Programs Committee meeting.
Tom Neumann was voted in as Vice President.
Ryan Lewis introduced the day’s speaker, Laura Worachek. Laura is the president of the Rock County Beekeepers’ Association. She has been keeping bees for years and has many hives.
Ryan thanked Laura for speaking and presented her with a Kiwanis Parker pen.
The meeting was adjourned with a ring of the bell at 11AM.
