Blackhawk Golden ‘K’ General Meeting
Minutes
October 16th, 2024

The meeting was called to order with a ring of the bell.
40 members were in attendance today.

The Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of America, the National Anthem, occurred.

Invocation: Richard Johnson, mentioning Halloween and the children.

Raffle: Ray Szczepaniak oversaw the ticket sales and drawing this week.
The weekly pot was $17 and the big (Joker) pot was $426.
A ticket was drawn from the bucket, ticket number 2251.  Congratulations to the winner, Carl Cramer.
The deck of cards has 24/53 cards remaining.  Carl drew the J.

Happy Box: Luci Cramer announced she is happy because they are back from Colorado.
Dan Heerey attended his great grandson’s event.
Carl Cramer donated his raffle winnings to the Salvation Army.
Dave Thill is happy Mary is out of the hospital after an overnight.  It was a gall stone.
Gregg Dickinson is happy to be caring for his son’s place in New Richmond.

Carl Cramer announces Tom Neumann is inducting a new member today, Steve Skelly.  “When Kiwanis Calls” was sung.

Jokes: Ryan Lewis and Steve Skelly had jokes.

Other Announcements: John Janes’ blood drive was slightly short on people.  It was appreciated.
John said the Truck on Ice is progressing.
Tom Neumann is working on an order for member shirts.

Gregg Dickinson introduced the day’s speaker, Paul Hensch.  Paul is the city manager for Milton, Wisconsin.
