General Meeting
Minutes
September 25th, 2024
The meeting was called to order with a ring of the bell.
An Executive Board meeting occurred today.
New officer occur today at the general meeting.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and the National Anthem was sung.
Invocation: Ron Shuler, mentioning the children.
Raffle: Bob Knudson oversaw the ticket sales and drawing this week.
The weekly pot was $15 and the big (Joker) pot was $380.
A ticket was drawn from the bucket, ticket number 2045.
Congratulations to the winner, Bob Wilcox.
The deck of cards has 27/53 cards remaining. Bob drew the Q♥.
Two guests were present today and were briefly introduced.
Jokes: Ron Shuler had wisdom, from Dwight D. Eisenhower, “There are no easy matters that come to you as president. If they are easy, they are settled at a lower level.”
Hixson awardees were presented.
Three members were recognized for anniversaries of years of service:
Maury Frey has 25 years with Kiwanis.
Jim Farrell has been a Kiwanian 25 years.
Dick Fay has been a Kiwanis member for 30 years.
Bob Wilcox spoke upon his reign.
Multiple officers were installed:
Greg Turco is the treasurer.
Paul Neitzel is the secretary.
Richard Johnson is the president elect.
Roger Willeford is now the president.
Our new president Roger Willeford gave a speech.
Bob Wilcox – benediction.
Photos of previous Hixson awardees were passed around.
The meeting was adjourned with a ring of the bell.
