General Meeting
Minutes
September 11th, 2024
The meeting was called to order with a ring of the bell.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and the National Anthem was sung.
Invocation: Carl Cramer, mentioning the loss of 9/11, thanks for the Buckley Picnic, and the children.
Raffle: Ryan Lewis oversaw the ticket sales and drawing this week.
The weekly pot was $14.
A ticket was drawn from the bucket, ticket number 1906.
Congratulations to the winner, Dale Henning.
The deck of cards has 29/53 cards remaining. Dale drew the 6♣.
Bob Wilcox announces the many guests present today.
Jokes: Bob Wilcox had jokes.
Happy Box: Dale Henning donated his raffle winnings to the Alzheimer’s Walk.
Other Announcements: John Janes announced Jack and Dick’s was the first sponsor check to return.
Thanks were given to the many Farmer’s Market volunteers.
Bob Wilcox delivered scholarship checks to Blackhawk Technical College.
Glenn Disrude introduced the day’s speaker, Mark Twain himself. A moral pauper he is not. Author of 30-odd books. Ed Stried, a retired Craig English teacher, assisted Mr. Twain.
Glenn thanked Mark and Ed for speaking and presented each of them with a Kiwanis Parker pen.
Bob Wilcox adjourned the meeting with a ring of the bell at 10:45AM.
