General Meeting
Minutes
August 28th, 2024
The meeting was called to order with a ring of the bell.
An Executive Board meeting occurred today.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and singing of the National Anthem occurred.
Invocation: Ron Shuler, mentioning the children.
Raffle: The weekly pot was $12.
Congratulations to the winner, Dick Fay.
Dick drew the 5♠.
Member Health: Ron Shuler is back from the Fon Du Lac hospital.
Happy Box: Glenn Disrude is happy the executive board approved scholarships for the area high schools.
Other Announcements: John Janes announces Truck on Ice sponsorship letters have gone out in the mail.
Linda Bontly had an announcement about the Aktion Club at Kandu in regard to their new Milton facility.
Reminders were made about remaining silent during the presentation/speakers, and to not talk politics.
Jim Farrell introduced the day’s speaker, Rebecca Veium. Rebecca is the CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Janesville. They have a new building in the works, at 925 S. Jackson Street.
The meeting was adjourned with a ring of the bell.
