General Meeting
Minutes
August 7th, 2024
Richard Johnson presiding, the meeting was called to order with a ring of the bell.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, and singing of the National Anthem occurred.
Invocation: A prayer was made.
Raffle: The weekly pot was $11.
Congratulations to the winner, Greg Turco.
Greg drew the 6♥.
Jokes: Ron Shuler had jokes, including wisdom.
Happy Box: Maury Frey has a birthday today, most beautiful baby. ‘Half the club have birthdays this month.
Other Announcements: Thank You cards arrived from Scouts / Friends of Scouting, Girl Scouts, Rotary Gardens and Blackhawk Technical College.
The Golf Outing is approaching, 9AM August 22nd, with free lunch at Mac’s around 11:30AM to follow.
The St. John Vianney Blood Drive is in the Main Hall on Monday and Tuesday.
Dave Thill announces the Mid-year Appeal now totals over $4,000.
Dave Thill requests members fill the gaps in the Kiwanis Park watering schedule.
September 11th is the Buckley Picnic.
Wiley’s funeral is 11AM Friday at Firth Lutheran. Please wear yellow.
Gregg Dickinson introduced the day’s speaker, Shar Hermanson. Shar is the President and CEO of Forward Janesville. Founded in 1991, Forward Janesville has five full-time staff, 20 board members, 50 ambassadors, 560 members and represents 21,000 employees.
Richard Johnson adjourned the meeting with a ring of the bell at 10:55AM.
