General Meeting
Minutes
July 31st, 2024
The meeting was called to order with a ring of the bell.
The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance, and the singing of the National Anthem.
Invocation: Carl Cramer, mentioning appreciation for the summer weather, and the children.
Raffle: The weekly pot was $21 and the big (Joker) pot was $251.
A ticket was drawn from the bucket, ticket number 1434.
Congratulations to the winner, Maury Frey.
Maury drew the 2♣.
Happy Box: Richard Johnson donated $5 announced he is happy because it is his wedding anniversary tomorrow.
The Maury/Glenn Disrude purchasing duo donate their raffle winnings to Rotary.
A member was happy about the U. S. Men’s Gymnastics Olympic wins.
Linda Bontly was happy about vacationing with her grandson.
John Janes was happy to see two members returning.
A moment of silence was held for Wiley’s passing.
The golf outing is approaching, $22 for a ticket and cart, August 22nd at 9AM. Free lunch at Mac’s follows.
Old photos of previous members were passed around.
Other announcements included a blood drive, the upcoming Buckley Picnic, and the flower watering sign-up.
The day’s speaker was Jimsi Kuborn, Janesville Economic Development Director.
The meeting was adjourned with a ring of the bell.
